The VOTE GARNER website was created during the 2008 election.  It was based on the characters in

“SAINT GARNER”, a television pilot by Robert Watzke about the mayor and residents of the

small town of Verne.  The idea was to create the site of a mayor running for re-election,

and to mirror what was happening in national politics.   In addition to content which told the

backstory and development of the characters (including his ex-wife's rival website), we created

“Weekly Video Updates” from the campaign.  These were fully scripted, and designed to look

like something the campaign would put together on a very low budget.

The site achieved a cult status from fans of character-driven comedies and political junkies.

It was highlighted on Los Angeles Times’ Funny Pages 2.0, and was nominated for Best Web Series

by the Producers Guild of America. Its creators are continuing to develop it as a half-hour comedy.

Please take a look at two of the “Weekly Video Updates”, and the credits list below.  The actors are

some of the best Los Angeles-based theatre and improvisational performers working today.
